A message from Torah Talk on ning (Jan. 17, 2010):
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
A while back my family, which consist of a wife and three children
still at home, were going through a desperate financial crisis due to
the economic downfall. At one point, I didn't know how I was going to
feed them. It was particularly heart wrenching to look into the faces
of a 6 month old and an 18 month old and know that they were hungry and
I had no way to comfort them. I had gone to the state for aid (food
stamps, etc...) but the process was to take from several days to
several weeks and we were already hungry.
What is such a blessing is that I did not have to rely on the state... Some of you, my brothers and sisters in the body of Messiah reached
out to me with money, food and much needed prayers during that very
tense time. Because of the love shown to me by Yah's people. My family
and I made it through that time in peace.
Today, Yah has once again blessed me with the means to support my
family and we are able to keep our home and if you have seen me, it is
obvious I eat a little more than I should! Halleluyah!
Yesterday I was informed of another family of Yah's people
here where we are (consisting of an Husband, wife and SIX children) who
are in similar dire straits. The husband has suddenly taken ill and
cannot work. The wife has six children to take care of and if the
husband cannot work, the family doesn't eat.
I am writing this letter because if the people of the world can rally
around the crisis of a heathen nation in the Caribbean, surely the people of Yah can rally around the need of a brother and sister in the Body of Messiah
and come to their aide. I believe that the Body takes care of its own
and we don't need the government to help the children of the Most High.
This family is in urgent need of your prayers, and your financial help
or any help your can provide. If you are able and willing, please email
YHWH bless you and I hope to hear from you soon.
