Praying the Jewish Way
For my Hebraic Roots friends, praying the Jewish way may be fascinating to you. This page will have some of the daily prayers and Shabbat prayers as well. Both in Hebrew and English (transliterated) so that you know what your saying. Also, audio files of the Shemoneh Esrei (Amidah) by Adlan Cruz and Ralph Messer.
Prayer = kneemail
We have a prayer for everything! Before we do something there is a short prayer for it. Scripture says to pray incessantly- that we do! Got that covered hands down!
Many people do not know how to pray. Some simply write their 'christmas list' and verbalize it to G-d. But G-d desires relationship with His people. He wants us to talk to Him about our thoughts, fears, and things that bring us to tears. NEVER NEVER do we have the right to get angry with the Most High and yell at Him though. We must always speak to Him with the utmost respect and adoration. He is our creator and the creator of all things! Asking for answers and being very direct is always in proper order. But our requests should be in accordance with His will for our lives, and a request to be shown what His will is for our lives is also proper. His will and our will may differ quite a bit and on many if not all points. (There is a way that seems right to man, but in the end it leads to destruction.)
My prayer for you is that you learn how to pray to YHWH- in His proper names, and in accordance with His will for your life, that you may know and understand Him to the best of your ability in this walk through life. That you may praise Him in all things even in sorrowful times (besides, it makes our adversary mad when we praise- isn't that fun?!) and that your understanding of Him grow immensely in your prayer life.
