Prophecy
There are thousands of prophecies out there. How do we know what is truth? Is this real or is it for making big names for certain folks for book selling?
When you understand Judaism, particularly a Jewish wedding, you can understand prophecy ever so clearly. Until then- all prophecies can be a hit or miss as far as our understanding. The other thing we must understand is Torah. If anything goes against Torah- or just doesn't quite match up- run in the other direction from it- and FAST!
Another way to see if things line up correctly- is to better understand the feasts (Holy days). If an alleged prophecy doesn't line up with Torah, the feasts, or a Jewish wedding then it is nothing short of an abomination to G-ds word.
If someone wants to tell you some prophecy tales and hands you some kool-aid, again, I advise you to run in the opposite direction very fast. (The speed of a gazelle will do nicely!)
Below are a few things that seem to have hit the media with a frenzy. Of course, my theories are a nutshell version for space saving purposes.
The DaVinci code debunked!
The DaVinci code, extremely blasphemous in nature, says that Yeshua was married to Mary Magdalene. How do we know for certain this is untrue? When we go back to Torah, we see that a High Priest will not be in right standing if he goes against the Torah, particularly the ten commandments. But also, remember there are 613 commandments in the Torah. All of which Yeshua kept so that He could be a spotless sacrificial lamb for Passover.
So, how does the DaVinci code fit in? It doesn't! Yeshua is often called the bridegroom, an heir to the kingdom, our savior, the King of the Jews, a High Priest etc.
In Jeremiah 3, G-d gives Israel a certificate of divorce. Yeshua saves us in many many ways. He atoned for our sins with His blood, but also, he stepped in to marry His people, often called 'the church'. Revelation consistently teaches that Yeshua will return for His bride and there will be the marriage supper of the lamb (wedding feast). We can look to the biblical holy day feasts as well to see prophecy unfold. His specific mission was to come, die for our sins, and fulfill the Torah, the prophets, and redeem G-ds people all in one short lifespan. G-d, the original High Priest, could not remarry once He divorced Israel. He could not remarry His original bride either according to Torah. He wrote it- it was a covenant with the people, so He could not go against His own word. Yeshua came and died on behalf of G-d. What?? Remember, in Torah, when a husband died, (which G-d cannot physically do), the next family member had to marry the woman to keep her pure. It was provision for the woman. Yeshua, by dying, inherits the right to marry the bride now. It was symbolic in that sense. Yeshua came to fulfill prophecy. Would it not be adultery, to marry Mary Magdalene and become betrothed to the church at the same time? Certainly we can debate about multiple wives all day long. But the Son of G-d himself would not position himself to be looked at in an unrighteous manner. Remember, scripture tells us in the B'rit Chadasha, to abstain from the appearance of evil. The mere appearance of evil would not be on the Son of the Most High.
I could certainly go deeper with this study, but I will stop here to encourage you to dig in scripture for yourself and learn it inside out, so that you will not be fooled by the wiles of ha Satan.
2012 debunked?
Well this is not my concluding thoughts here as time is still not expired to totally debunk this whole theory. But why I debunk this is for one reason and one reason only. Elijah (and the other witness) is coming back- literally! And when he does, he will be here 3 1/2 years and be killed in the streets along with the other witness. He (they) aren't here yet, and if he doesn't get here by the end of May 2009, then the whole theory is debunked. We have a few weeks yet, but the end was Dec. 21, 2012. So the jury is still out- but it is unlikely to be 2012. While we cant subscribe to the date in 2012 anyway, as no man knoweth the day or the hour, the season of 2012 could have been plausible. *Update- As of mid June '09, Elijah is still not here (the two witnesses are not here), therefore, 2012 is officially debunked as the end of the world. 2012 could still be significant in another way though!
What is the Mark of the Beast and the Seal of G-d?
As with anything G-d has created, ha Satan attempts to counterfeit. A seal has a few identifiers, it has the creators' name on the document/object. It will have his designation of authority and territory of jurisdiction on it. The mark on the other hand, will try to resemble the seal, however, the counterfeiter has no territory that he created or owns, and he (ha Satan), has no current designation of authority, since Yeshua paid the price for our sin with His blood.
The only thing that consistently lines up in scripture within these parameters is the fourth commandment- Thou shalt remember the sabbath day to keep it Holy. For in six days G-d created the heavens and the earth and all therein, but on the seventh day He rested..... So here we have a designation of a Holy thing, the creators stamp on it (His name), and his territory. Ok, so if this is the sign/seal then what is the mark of the beast. Well naturally it would be anything directly contrary to this. Scripture also states that not one jot or tittle shall be changed in His word- the bible. So considering this as well, we naturally conclude that anything contrary to keeping the seventh day (Saturday) sabbath is the mark of a persons character. Why does this make it a mark? It is direct rebellion against G-ds' command. So keeping Sunday, or any other day is a mark that this person observing this custom does not keep G-ds' covenants and commandments. G-d desires relationship with His people. Not only that- but as Creator and King of the universe, he wants us to obey. Only because it is for our own good. In scripture, it says numerous times and in numerous places, "If you love Me- keep my commandments". "Many are called- but few are chosen".... So many say they love G-d, but if they cant put their money where their mouth is- then its empty and void. On judgment day, many will say L-rd, L-rd, and He will answer "I knew you not".
A national Sunday law is suspected to be passed at some point. Hey don't balk at it yet- if Nazi Germany could happen, a national Sunday law can happen. Anyone who keeps sabbath is subject to death as the Jews were during the holocaust. We should never forget our past- it is a huge indicator of what the future will bring, as history typically repeats itself.
I will post more info on another page in the future regarding sabbath texts and teachings and prophecies surrounding it. Keep checking back.
