Yeshua
Sometimes we get wrapped up in the things we learn in scripture and yet miss a whole lot at the same time. Here are some things that are commonly missed, mainly because the Jewish culture is not fully understood.When Lazarus died, Yeshua waited to come to the family. Movies make it sound like Lazarus' family thought Yeshua had little concern. But there is beauty in waiting. You see,the Jews believed that the soul stayed with the body for 3 days. Coming back right away and raising Lazarus, could have been misconstrued to Lazarus' spirit just not ready to leave and he really just 'woke up'. To perform this miracle, so that the people would believe, Yeshua knew he would have to wait.
His own death and resurrection was much of the same concept. But don't forget, that Sabbath is Friday night sundown to Saturday night sundown, so we have to dig deeper here. Understand that the Passover Feast- actually the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread is a sabbath as well. Yeshua most likely died on a Thursday before sundown. This too would have been a preparation day.
The Temple Veil
Many believe that the veil in the temple being rent from top to bottom when Yeshua died- means we have full access to G-d, but nothing changed. We still have to be sin free (ask for forgiveness) to have our prayers heard. What the scripture is actually saying is that G-d ripped his clothes in anguish at the death of the sage, His son, which is customary in Judaism. The temple veil was called the 'tunic of the temple'. This was G-ds' way of saying 'you cant see Me but I am here and grieve too'.
When a sage dies (one learned in Torah) the clothes are torn and must be torn to a point where they are not able to be used again. Often, particularly at an Orthodox funeral, when you walk in to pay your respects to the deceased, you may be greeted at the door by someone with scissors to put a snip in your clothes to tear them easier.

The first words Yeshua spoke during His ministry were "repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand"..... The best book I may have ever read to understand scripture, outside of scripture itself, was 'Rediscovering the Kingdom' by Myles Monroe. If you understand the concepts of a kingdom, you can better understand Yeshua, His ministry, and the mind of G-d.Ha Satan took over in the garden of Eden. Adam, (not beguiled as Eve was), was guilty of treason. Treason, in any kingdom, is worthy of a death penalty. Adam blew it, so Yeshua had to come to take dominion again through His death and resurrection.
Yeshua was literally the High Priest and King when he died. When Caiaphas ripped his robe, he was giving up his place as high priest to Yeshua. Now, Yeshua was mocked on the cross, by having a sign above his head which said 'King of the Jews'. Actually, he was the only rightful king from the line of David, whom Mary was related down the line. Herod as well as many others felt threatened by Yeshua, as they knew He was the true heir to the throne. We call Him (Yeshua) our King and our High Priest because He is rightfully, by birth, both!
When Yeshua returns he will be coronated as such.
We westerners don't fully understand the concepts of the kingdom, as we are, and have been in full rebellion of kingdom principles from day one. Another thing we don't fully understand is that democracy has no place in heaven- only kingdom principles will prevail. Democracy, sadly enough, allows bad politics, stacking the deck so to speak, to pass laws which are unrighteous. Our nation will repent very soon for turning our backs on G-ds principles of leadership. Our leaders in general are not righteous and our country is failing miserably because of our rebellion. The majority will NEVER rule in heaven, only G-d and His son Yeshua will reign.

Ever wonder why Yeshua knew that the woman with the issue of blood touched Him- even though many touched Him that day? The woman touched Him because she had great faith. She knew that if she touched Him she HAD to be healed! Why is this? As High Priest, if he touched anything unclean, he would have been a dirty priest, thus not fulfilling the prophecies of the TANACH. As he touched those who were sick, leprous, etc., they HAD to be healed. Yet this was not a burden to Him, it was a ministry! G-d showed His love for His people through these miraculous healings.

Why do we call Him 'Yeshua'? Well, for starters- there is no letter 'J' in Hebrew. Never was, and still doesn't exist. Well if that not enough to convince you to call Him Yeshua- 'Jesus' in Hebrew means (closest matched) 'the horse'. Eisus means pig. Eisus is what is taught to be the basis for the name Jesus. So the Romans, who spoke Latin, called him Jesus because they thought he was a pig. Would you trust the language of the group who killed Yeshua?
I don't know about you- but I don't worship a horse or a pig. In Latin, But most importantly- I believe the name 'Jesus' to be of pagan origin and I choose not to offend my bridegroom. How can we possibly expect to enter the Kingdom of Heaven when we don't even know His name? Scripture says "my people shall know my name". Hmmm- do ya think there is something to this?!
